BORNGRIM THORNHAMMER

DWARVEN CAPTAIN

"The call has come!" The council calls out to one another. 

The King stares away and answers uncaringly, "It is no concern of ours. Let the manlings handle manling business!"

"But sire?!" One of the council members interjects. 

Visibly annoyed, the king sighs. "WHAT IS IT NOW!!", he replies sharply.  

"The sentries have spotted blue skinned Orcs on our borders.... in numbers," the humbled council member responds cautiously.

Knowing what this means for the Iron Hills, The King's face turns grim.  Then with solemn confidence, he commands. "Send for my Captain. Send for  BORNGRIM and the Iron Hill Clan!! They will put some thunder in this War!"

Note:  Borngrim Thornhammer is the Captain of the Iron Hill Clan and is a well respected Captain. He and his Thunder Hammer have delt many a blow to the likes of nasties!

BORNGRIM'S STATS:

LIFE - 6 MOVE - 3 RANGE - 1 ATTACK - 4 DEFENSE - 4 POINTS - 120

  • THUNDER HAMMER SMITE: For every successful attack die rolled, Borngrim may roll an additional attack die and apply to any figure adjacent to him.
  • DWARVEN LEADERSHIP: All Dwarves adjacent to Borngrim roll an additional attack and defense die.
  • OAKEN SHIELD: Borngrim may re-roll any failed saves once per turn.

GLAM EVERSEER DWARVEN WIZARD!

 

Borngrim - "Glam, I need you to come with me."

Glam - "Where? And why the urgency?

Borngrim (looking away) - "There have been sightings of Grut Orcs on the borders and my clan and I have orders to deal with them."

Glam (looking rather smug) - "And you want me? I thought you were not fond of my skills.  (now smiling) "So...you NEED me."

Borngrim (looking grim; not liking the fact he has been figured out) " This is no time for that, Glam! There is more out there than just Orcs, and if having you with me will keep my people alive...then, yes." (reluctantly)  I...need you."

Glam (very smug now) "That sounds good; that I am needed, of course. Let's be off then."

...And off they go with a very satisfied Glam.

Note: Glam is a rare find; a Dwarf whose skill in the arts has saved many battles from going the wrong way!

STATS:

LIFE - 6 MOVE - 3 RANGE - 1 ATTACK - 3 DEFENSE - 3 POINTS - 110

  • IRON RAIN: Range 8, Attack 2. Target a figure and attack. In addition, each adjacent hex is also attacked with 1 attack die. If figure takes up more than 1 hex it receives attacks as directed above.
  • AMULET OF POWER: Range 1, Attack 1. Instead of normal attack, Glam may attack 1 unique character. If save is failed, target is destroyed
  • IRON WILL: Glam may move any Dwarf unit or character up to 4 spaces. May move through impassable terrain but not end move on it.
  • In addition Glam is a Dwarven Sorcerer by class which allows him to “Summon” some creatures/ units onto the battlfield to aid him fight. For instances the Creature “Stone Golem” has the special power “summon” which means he may be purchased to an army as normal or “Summoned” by a Sorcerer such as glam.

 

IRON CLAN DWARVEN WARRIORS

  • FOR THE CLAN!: When attacking/defending dwarven warriors, add +1 die to attack and defense
    for each adjacent dwarf  warrior up to a maximum of +2 dice for this effect.

IRON CLAN DWARVEN CROSSBOW!

"Comon Ladds, let them taste the tips of our crossbows - LET THEM HAVE IT!

 

STATS:

LIFE - 1 MOVE - 3 RANGE - 7 ATTACK - 1 DEFENSE - 3 POINTS - 50

  • STUBBORN: Dwarves will never leave an attack no matter how dire it may be.
  • DWARVEN CROSSBOWS: Sucessful range attacks do double damage.

IRON CLAN DWARVEN TINKERS!

"I've got it, I've got it!"  Greybeard shouted. "I figured out how to make the pistons work faster!" 

Gormlim looked at him with some concern. "But what about the..." 

"Dont worry about that! You worry to much!" Greybeard shouted with fustration."I got it to work didn't I? Now let's go get ourselves some Orc! He he he he."

"I've got mixed feelings about this, Greybeard" Gorlim murmered rubbing his beard.  "Maybe we should test further."

"If we test, we miss out on all the fun - LETS GO!  It will work," Greybeard replied "...most of the time."  (under his breath)

And so off they went with their "Tinker" weapons of war to get some Orc... if they dont break down first!

STATS:

LIFE - 2 MOVE - 4 RANGE - 1 ATTACK - 3 DEFENSE - 4 POINTS - 80

  • POWER WEAPONS: For every sucessful attack, enemy takes double damage.
  • WHAT'S THAT NOISE?: At the start of each Tinker's turn, roll a D20. On a roll of 11 or higher, add +2 attack and +2 defense. On a roll of 5 or less, subtract 1 from attack and defense.

DAKARR - IRON HILL DWARVEN GIANT!

Many fear the Iron Hill Dwarven Giants! Large and mighty are their axes of power and lead by a Dwarven eldar mounted on their shoulders! On each shoulder are mounted the dangerious Dwarven cannons for the ones who think they will flank this monster! BEWARE - the Dwarves are comming!

Beautiful is this model, and the dwarf engineers riding his neck and shoulders to guide him and fire at any targets of oppertunity! See the photots this is one very neat model!

STATS:

LIFE - 8 MOVE - 6 RANGE - 1 ATTACK - 6 DEFENSE - 5 POINTS - 150

  • SHOULDER CANNONS: Range 8, Attack 2. Each shoulder cannon (1 each shoulder) once per turn may fire in a straight hex line up to 8 spaces at 1 target. 
  • AXE SWEEP ATTACK: Range 1, Attack 2. Instead of normal attack, Dakarr may attack up to 3 targets in front hexes. Roll 2 attack dice once for all affected figures. Affected figures roll defense separately
  • GIANT WALK: Dakarr is not hindered by any terrain elevation that is 4 or less.
